Solanoexp in Rockefeller Center

Solanoexp returns to New York City for Mexico Week: Dia de Muertos at Rockefeller Center. After participating in NY NOW Rising Artisans at the Javits Center in August, Solanoexp has now landed in the heart of Manhattan to share a part of Mexico to the world in one of the most prominent landmarks in New York City alongside giant alibrijes.

Mexico Week: Dia de Muertos at Rockefeller Center, which runs from October 22 to November 2, 2021, is a revival of the celebration of Mexican culture that Rockefeller Center originally hosted from 1964 to the mid-1970s. Talks to bring the exhibition back began after Jorge Islas, New York’s Consul General of Mexico, took office; his goal was to “have a unique display of the best of Mexico’s heritage in the heart of Manhattan.”

At the center of the tianguis, a market featuring vendors that sell food and handcrafted, artisanal goods, being alongside fellow Mexicans Solanoexp felt at home, but also as an ambassador for Mexico. Being a part of such a marvelous event has enabled Solanoexp support of Mexican artisans to connect to a diverse mass of people from all over the world.

Alongside the giant alibrijes, traditional wood carvings of mythical animals painted with an assortment of vibrant colors and patterns, that are spirit guides for the dead Solanoexp had on display its collection of handmade products made from the artisans of Mexico Solanoexp supports.

All of Solanoexp’s products such as handmade dresses, jewelry, and accessories attracted the crowds with their dynamic colors, patterns, artisanship, and quality. The culture and traditions of Mexico preserved in each product which ended up in the hands of buyers brought smiles and joy, a humbling piece of Mexico in the lives of many, especially for those with a keen eye for art and craftsmanship who have an appreciation for the value, time and detail put into making such products.

This is what Solanoexp is all about, supporting artisans, sharing a piece of Mexico to the world and helping others express their uniqueness and individuality with handmade products from Mexico. Every product has a story to tell and so do all those who have supported Solanoexp throughout the years.

Solanoexp being in Rockefeller Center for such a prominent event has allowed Solanoexp to connect with a diverse group of people from all walks of life and represent Mexico on a world stage. Being part of such a renowned and successful event has been an honor for Solanoexp and a turning point towards bigger and new ventures.

Express yourself and experience Mexico, this is Solanoexp
